Work Well Systems

As a member-provider for Work Well Systems OrthoGo Physical Therapy is part of a nation-wide network of providers trained in scientifically proven and standardized methods of evaluating, educating and treating workers and how work and  worker interrelate to one another.

This is done using methods as developed by Isernhagen Work Systems of Duluth, Minnesota. A leader in Work evaluation and treatment world-wide. From evaluating a given job and it's individual tasks, to worker education, to worker rehabilitation, Isernhagen Work Systems has all the bases covered,

Functional Job Analysis: Each job and it's individual tasks are evaluated to determine the forces required, postures, positions and activity of the worker.

Pre-work Screening: This allows the accurate matching of worker to work. Once the jobs' physical requirements are known a job-specific test can be developed to place the right person in the right job from a physical standpoint. What does this mean to the employer? Fewer chances of injury to the worker who may be unfit for a specific job and better productivity  from workers who are physically fit enough to get the job done efficiently.

Work Rehabilitation/ Conditioning: Sometimes referred to as work hardening, this program done in a clinical setting initially, then at work and the clinic, focuses on the injured worker and getting them back into shape to return to work full time. It consists of strength, endurance/aerobic fitness and job simulation components. In addition education of the worker to use proper body mechanics and postures is stressed.

Functional Capacity Evaluations: This one or sometimes two day test is performed to scientifically and accurately determine exactly what an individuals maximum abilities are.

Ergonomics Assessment: This is an evaluation of a work station. It should not be confused with a Functional Job Analysis which assesses the job itself. In an Ergonomics Assessment the work station and worker positions/ techniques are observed and modifications are suggested to reduce the stress/strain/ chances of potential injury to the worker while optimizing productivity.

In the end the bottom line to the employer is saving time and money by reducing injury to workers and maximizing their productivity.
